This document refers to the Wonogiri Regency [ Kabupaten Wonogiri ]. I to write succinctly to practice a simple sequence of words in English Language. The existence of personal website space [ a.k.a. website pribadi ] is an reflects my love of Wonogiri, because I was born and grew up in this town and is meant to let you know more about Wonogiri Regency in generalities.

GENERAL IDEA OF THE WONOGIRI REGENCY

The name of Wonogiri are arranged from word WONO [ forest ] and GIRI [ mountain ] is an small Regency in Southeast corner of Central Java Province, Indonesia. In ages past, Wonogiri is under the Residency government of Surakarta but currently under the Provincial  government of Central Java. In this instance Wonogiri offshoot from the java. Wonogiri Regency is 133 kilometer to the South of Semarang or 32 kilometer to the South of Surakarta [ Solo ]. Wonogiri Regency borders on to the north of Sukoharjo Regencym, to the northeast of Karanganyar Regencym, to the east and southeast of Pacitan Regency and Ponorogo Regency also to the southwest of Gunung Kidul Regency [ the special district of Yogyakarta ]. In accordance with statement of Schmidt and Ferguson, Wonogiri is tropical climate of the temperature scale median that has 22,14 celsius

Wonogiri Regency is extends between coordinate 7⁰.31¹ - 8⁰.15¹ south latitude and 110,41 - 111.81 east longitude. It has a large area of 183.931.750 square kilometer. More than hal of it waste land and  large part of it is mountainous. The elevation at this place is 127 sea above level and two have seasons. The dry season and rainy season.

The Orde Baru period, built a dam all purpose of Waduk Gajah Mungkur used for farming irrigation purpose and as central to generated hydro-electricity power. So the welfare of the people is still a tremendous bigworker. Still a large part of the land culitvated rice, cassava. etc
